Rules of the game

1. Open an account with an online gamer (such as SkyBet, Ladbrokes or Coral) and deposit £33 into it.
2. For each of the 64 games in the World Cup, you are required to bet 50 pence on any outcome in the game. The odds of your chosen outcome must be no shorter than 3-1.
3. Post your prediction and the odds that you got on the relevant thread for the match so that everyone else can see it.
4. One further £1 tournament bet can be made on any entire tournament market where the outcome has odds no shorter than 50/1.
5. Whoever has the most in their account at the end of the tournament wins.

Rules Amendment:

From Round 2 of the World Cup, players may make further 50p bets on games where

• The player have no live* bets in play
  
• The player has not won any of their previous bets in this match
  
• The player has funds in their 'winnings' to cover the additional bets
  

The cost of any further bets is to be taken from the winnings so far. Should a bet in this circumstance be successful, then the winnings pot is re-imbursed with the stake as well as the winnings from that particular bet.

* 'live' means any bet that has any chance, however remote, of winning.
